Default Porsche red brake calipers coated?

Anyone else notice and know why it is that the wheels and car itself get covered in super heavy brake dust, but the red calipers themselves seem to stay super clean and bright red? Is this my imagination? I'd love to coat my wheels with whatever they are treated with if possible. I know I can move to low-dust ceramic pads, but I want pads that I can track. Thx.

my calipers get just as dirty as the rims. But the red seems to "look" cleaner longer.

I am going to spare you the whole scientific angle of why you get brake dust build-up; A - because it would put you to sleep; and B - Well, you really seem to want to minimize brake dust build-up and 5 paragraphs on why it happens (centigugal.inertial force/centripetal force, static build-up, microscopic irregularities in the wheel surface, etc.) is not going to help.

Apologies to LexVan, I cut and pasted his response to this same question posed a few months ago. This was in reference to car care products that you can use to minimize brake dust accumulation on wheel/rims:

"RejeX is very good.

OptiGloss is better. It's like OptiCoat Pro only less $$.

Armor All Wheel Protectant is an excellent topper. I can easily go over 1,500 miles (no rain, and about 6 weeks) of weekend fun and the wheels stay really clean and free off brake dust build-up. Also making the next cleanup that much easier."

Cheapest solution is to get PCCBs. Wait a minute

PCCBs are the fix but an expensive one. Or pad and or rotor change outs for different materials. Hate brake dust!
