Can PSP be coded off with PWIS?
Title says it all (but with acronyms.)
Does anyone know if it is possible to code-off Power Steering Plus? I would assume that the Porsche Workshop Information System (i.e. 'The dealer laptop') would be needed and that no one's figured out the blind addresses to stomp with the Durametric.
Since it can be coded-on after the proper license cookie is paid-for and downloaded (with PWIS), one would think the reverse would be possible (except reversing the money transfer of course.)

Yes, the dealer can disable this feature. Can't be very expensive. A DIY? Have not heard. Will be interesting to hear.
Most guys don't like the Buick type steering feel and say it feels to artificial.
Only really "on" at low parking lot speeds. Maybe up to 30MPH or something? Not sure exactly.

I had it done. My dealer talked me into PSP without my trying it. Hated it at low speeds. I wanted the beefy, low-speed tug at the steering feel that all my sportscars have always had. So I had them unprogram it. Charged me $130 for one hour. So, as Porsche ordering mistakes go, this was a cheap one. $300 or so for the PSP, 130 to take it off.
