Default Recall Notification

Just got the following recall notification --

#WF86 VOLUNTARY SERVICE ACTION - RE-PROGRAM DME

Anyone else get it or has gotten their car serviced recently and know what this is? Says voluntary - so probably not a big deal

it's to quietly remove the VWAG CO2 emissions - cheat software code ( and 35 hp ) from your vehicle ... " half " j/k !

Any other info on what it's supposed to address?
All 991's or just a select MY.
As it's voluntary, I can't see them proactively pushing it out to the masses?

I guess we can dream, can't we?

Would be a nice Christmas present though.

Same. On all my 2014+ cars. Blah. I'll get 'em done when each go in for their preventative maintenance.

That's not a recall. It's a voluntary service action, but will be interesting to hear the purpose and why it is voluntary. Maybe it has something to do with the engine stumble issue some have complained about. Whatever it is, if the customer doesn't have some type of specific complaint, I guess it is not done since it is voluntary.

And yet no one knows what issue it's supposed to address?

Does anyone one know what date is associated with the service action?
