Hey guys. Currently looking into buying a 14 C4S from Sunset Porsche but I live in Chicago. I will need to have the car shipped as I don't have the time to drive it back. The dealer quoted me 1800$ for enclosed which seemed like a lot. What do you guys think? Also may ship my 12 A7 there to help lower bottom line as a trade.

Price seems competitive. Contact intercity and angels here on Rennlist for quotes.

Yes. Price seems very fair. Plenty of RL shipping sponsors on here.

Good to hear. Thanks. btw, STG991, this was for that c4s which you picked up the road rash on the wheel. Dealer says pic were done before the 'reconditioning.' 93k seems like a great price for this. Am I missing something??

MSRP is $116K

Price is ok. Did you negotiate them down a bit?

Ever look at this one? $125K MSRP

I'd offer $88K on the Sunset one. Personally wouldn't pay more. Some of these 4S's are overpriced for whatever reason. Much better deals on the rear drives.

Sunset Porsche has the best prices in the country when it comes to parts, but not known for great deals on cars for whatever reason.

If in no hurry, I'm sure similar deals will pop up.

Sunset one isn't heavily optioned. Can find a better deal on a 2013. It's the exact same car as a 2014, 2015..

no hurry. also with the shipping of 2 cars (911 and a7), it's getting too pricey. only advantage of 14 is the extra year of warranty

I paid a little over a grand for shipping in an enclosed trailer from Arizona (whatever that nice town area with a bunch of resorts along with a huge luxury auto mall) to Chicago. I used this company:

In 2007 I paid Intercity $1600 to ship a 993tt from SF to Chicago. Service was impeccable. $1800 sounds fair.
