Default help cabriolet top fault...

anyone had their cabriolet top fail to close?

I just tried to close mine, the engine cover went up, the little flaps at the side opened and then ... nothing ... fault code.

any suggestions?

apart from getting drunk and flatbedding it to the dealership

wow, hopefully it is something minor and Porsche will fix it on their dime... but I'll bet it is going to be an interesting discussion with the dealer.... hope it works out OK

Tough break pal. Let me know if you need anything. You will be missed tomorrow.

Mine has done that once. Pull the key and walk away, let the car CANBUS go out. Come back in 10 minutes and put the key in, start the car and chances are you'll be good to go.

There was a chap from Frisco

Who's car was wide open like a disco.

He sought our assistance

But the top still offered resistance

So back to the dealer his naughty eleven went!

There is a procedure to manually operate the top ... page 183 of the manual here:

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...rrera_PCNA.pdf

I'd close it, then remove the SmartTop and see where you're at.
