Default Centerlock wheel opinions...

So in my ongoing search for a set of centerlock wheels for my 991 GTS I think I've found a possible winner. Forgeline recently announced the new GE1 below and I think it would look great on a GTS but interested in opinions from my friends on RL.

My only concern is since it is so new there are no pics of it mounted on a 991 as of yet... or any other car for that matter. It is however a fairly classic Motorsport influenced design so I'm sure it will look great. Thinking either satin gunmetal or satin graphite as a nice change from the matte black Turbo S wheels.

That said thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

I think they would look nice in either finish you describe. As you said, would be helpful to see them mounted on a 991.

One of the nicer aftermarket wheels I've seen for a 911. Elegant, with a contemporary look. As a bonus, it doesn't appear that cleaning would be an ordeal.

I considered HRE, they make great wheels of course but decided to go with Forgeline for several reasons.

I like the stock wheels just fine but given our winters wanted to run a dedicated set of summer wheels/tires and move the stock CL wheels to winter duty. Best of both worlds as I'll run the stock wheels 4-5 months a year and the new wheels the rest of the year.

Thanks man, heard nothing but good things about Forgeline and they come highly recommended by many.

I have HREs on my GT3 and Forgelines on my GTS ... both amazing wheels and manufacturers behind them

I love the GTS OEM wheels, but they are a little "busy" and I wanted something more unique and also lighter than OEM!

I think those forgelines would look amazing. They're probably my go-to brand for Porsche wheels. I'd go with the gold and really stand out. It's such an elegant wheel that it wouldn't look too crazy.

That's the equivalent of asking the wife why she needs another hand bag.
