You're right! I did notice that they were painted. I wonder if the first owner had that done aftermarket since it wasn't on the options list.
Why is there so much opposition to having the spoiler up, anyway? Because it interferes with the traditional shape of the 911?

BTW: congrats beautiful ride.

If you wanted your spoiler up, you should have bought a factory ducktail. Otherwise you're just trying a bit too hard. All conjecture mind you. Congrats and welcome.

I'm not a big fan of the ducktail to be honest. I really like the spoiler on the turbo, but I wouldn't put that on a carrera. That really is trying a bit too hard.
If others don't like it up, that's completely fine, but I do so I'm gonna rock it!

Beautiful car!
Honestly I don't get the peer pressure of the spoiler down aesthetic. You paid for the car, your spoiler has the up position and a button to leave it there, so - leave it there if you like the look. I did it as well during the honeymoon phase but eventually found it cooler to let it do the default thing. Kind of gives the car an 'I mean business' attitude when the spoiler deploys while merging onto a highway.
You could say that about any 911 outside a race track - to most, it's a sports car that really doesn't belong on the street.

I think the car looks better with the rear spoiler up. The problem is the damn thing doesn't stay up and you have to push that button each time.
Btw OP ... Congrats on the new ride it's a beauty

I would suspect that the front lower air dam and the rear apron were painted after the fact. Porsche did offer the rear painted as an option but not sure about the front.

Hey, is that Avatar your car? Kind of like a look into the future - what my car may look like to 911 owners in 2032 (in a good and classic way)!

I like in the photo the OP parked next to some bushes! Thats to keep your baby safe from idiots opening doord and slamming their doors into your car.
I swear people take better care more so not to slam their doors into your car in So Cal than other place.. Every other place besides Southern California people just think that dinging up someone else's car is normal. No wonder people with $100+ cars park way out in the Boon Docks for protection.

Glad to hear you're so thrilled with the car. I'm hoping to have the exact same reaction and have been in the market looking to get almost the exact same car in CA. Would you mind sharing the details of your deal?
