I think the jury is still out on the 360, I heard there have been issues, but that a firmware update is coming, so hopefully the outstanding issues are fixed (I hear a lot of false and range could be better). The V1 has been plagued in the past with lots of false hits, so much so that many tend to ignore all the alarms and thus you just don't know when an alarm is real or not. Supposedly there is an update that fixed a lot of this. So, IMHO, if you have a V1, get it updated rather than spending $600 on the of the 360.

When I spoke to my SA, he recommended taking the extra effort to run to the fusebox as these modern detectors have a pretty high power draw.
For example the Max360, is a new platform for Escort.....
Good luck and let me know how it works out......

BTW the Escort Max 360 doesn't come with direct wire. Need to order separately. Just want people to be aware. I was told the wire was included but it's not.

Thanks... I did some further research and ordered the full direct wire kit. Local guy will install for $75. Not going to futz with the mirror.

Save $75 and do it yourself. All you need is an add a fuse and plastic trim tool. Run wire up the A pillar and headliner on passenger side.

The blend mount and integrated power cord look like a very clean installation. I hate to lose the benefits of the "smart cord" but I guess there's no way to avoid that if you power it at the mount below the rear view mirror?

Yes, it is just a matter of how much work you want to do. If mirror tap, you need to take the mirror trim apart and getting to the tap is hard because of the limited space. Running it to the fuse box is a little bit easier for some.

I did the mirror tap last weekend using 911Idiots post and instructions. If I can do it, anyone can. Just took patience and some physical flexibility. The quarters are cramped when you need to see up to that connector. A couple of hours max, maybe 45 min now that I've done it once. Came out very clean and I posted some pointers on my journal/intro thread.
