i feel like i'm taking crazy pills -991 GT3 has center twin exhausts.. don't hear many complaints about that!!

as for a good sounding turbo, the new benz GTS is pretty sweet sounding!

Cylinder configuration has a lot to do with how a car sounds. A V8 has a deeper sound than a 6, and that allows turbo V8s to still sound decent, at least compared to a 6, which tend to just get appliance like in turbo form.

The GT3 has center twin exhausts. The .2 has narrow spread exhausts like an Audi TT or a Beetle. They look totally different to my eye.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think this car looks great. I have an '09 C4S Coupe that I'll probably keep forever and a '14 C4S Cab that I lease for my business. Since the lease is up next year, I'm planning on ordering a GT Silver .2 4S Cab with a red top and red/black interior, and it will definitely have the sport package with PSE. Of course, it will have an MT.

As a longtime Porsche owner (my first was an '85 944), I'm not about to jump ship because the new cars have smaller engines, turbos, vertical grills, air outlets or center exhaust pipes. Besides, what would I get?

So, my advice to the OP? Get the sport exhaust. You'll have such a blast driving the car that the center exhaust pipes will be the farthest thing from your mind.

^ I just about threw up.

The 991.1 GTS above wins the appearance award with quad pipes. I'm very objective about this.

Attention to detail is required ...

1. the center twin pipes config isn't the same as GT3
2. it's not an AMG V8 turbo

Cylinder configuration absolutely does, but your post made it sound like the fact that it was a v8 made it sound ok with turbos, but a turbo I6 wouldn't.

I think that picture has changed aspect ratio. It might not look as bad if it were stretched back to the correct width.
