Default Why is the GTS so hard to find?

Howdy folks,

I'm still on the look out for the right 997.1 RS GT3, but realizing that it'll take more time - and I need a new DD first anyway - I've been searching for a GTS in the meantime.

For the life of me, I can't find the car I want, anywhere! RWD GTS, manual, red, blue, or black, ducktail. End.

Did I miss the boat on an order and now I'm S.O.L.? They aren't even for sale on RL used. It's a real frustration.

Sadly yes. All the remaining production was pulled forward and locked only last week.

the 991 GTS had a relatively short production run, just a little over 12 months
and many owners have just, or are about to take delivery so there are very
few available on the used market at the moment...

that does not mean there are not cars on lots ... type this string into Google

"911+GTS+info.php site: porschedealer.com"

you'll get a list of those that may still be around...

good luck

FYI - there is a 997.1 GT3 RS at Braman.... I saw it in person a while ago. I don't know anything about value for GT3s...

that's a .2 with seriously ugly aftermarket wheels ... and someone painted the mirrors and wing end-plates white.

none needed! - you were probably 'fooled' by the paint scheme, also I'm pretty certain that there were no 'white' 7.1 RS'es built unless they were PTS.

whoever replaced their OEM wheels on that car with those abominations should
have had their ownership immediately revoked by the Porsche "style" police!

Great info Larry, thanks.

Is there a way to search the Porsche CPO site for cars with certain option codes as well? Their 'Advanced Search' leaves a lot to be desired.

Try Autotrader and cars.com too

There's a silver and black one out there. Both have the Aerokit Cup rear spoiler though. Very nice.

Manuals are pretty scarce though.

The last of the NA's. A sad time in history.

Buy this!

Really appreciate the help guys; Larry, thanks for the search suggestion. STG; I saw Circle had one, but I've also heard that dealership is the devil, so I didn't even consider it.

Maybe I really do have to wait - again, lol - for used.

Not sure their reputation. If they have the car, why not??? Not like they've cursed it. Ha ha.

There is a Black-on-Black MT GTS Coupe at Capital Eurocars in Tallahassee. I would buy it if I did not have an Agate Grey GTS Coupe with MT. They also have a Black-on-Black GTS Cabriolet with PDK. Call Michael Ludes at 850 574-3777. No interest on my part.
