I have an 07 Carrera S that i'm considering getting rid of and looking to replace with a 991. Here are what I consider to be my options that i'm interested.

1. 2015 C2S with Sport Design Package, i'm a little worried this won't be enough of a upgrade from my 07 C2S

2. 2015 GTS, I'd really like the duck tail or aerokit which you don't find used too often. I also don't care for the all black wheels. The extra hp would be welcome.

3. Wait a while until 991 turbo values come down to low 100k, the turbo exhaust sound scares me as i love the naturally aspirated sound.

4. Just keep rolling with the 07, it's been a fantastic car, i just feel like I will have some upcoming maintenance costs that i'd rather put towards a new car.

As for #1. I went from a '06 C2S to a 13 C2S. The handling and power are definitely noticeable. The electronics are greatly improved as well. The interior just feels more modern.

I do think the exhaust note on the 997.1 was better--but I had PSE on the 997, no PSE on 991. But the 991 is such a better car overall.

My wife has an '09 C4S, and I have a '14 C4S. There are days when I drive both cars, and I can tell you not to worry about the 991 being enough of an upgrade. Everything about it, from power to comfort to handling is better. Whether you get a regular C2S or a GTS, I doubt you'll regret it.
