Angry 2016 GTS, parking sensors/Front plate

Wanted to use the front plate holder from my 2011GT3RS,[no parking sensors], on my new GTS with sensors...No good, sensors alarm.
Anyone make a front plate holder that does not trigger the sensor. I will not drill into front bumber!
Yep, I live in NY, tickets all the time.

Your only solution is the Skene Design bracket. I too live in NY and tried mounting the Skene on my C4S. The bracket fell off after 3 days. I've had successful install on a 2015 Cayman that put up a fight to remove when I traded in the car. I finally drilled the bumper on the C4S.

If you add the Rennline mesh grills, my friend created a solution. The PDFs that I have, shows an installation on another make, but in theory, this can be applied to the GTS. Unfortunately, I cannot attach the PDFs from my iPad.

Can anyone comment on the strength of the Rennline installed grills?

The Skene Bracket requires to small holes be drilled on the underside in addition to the 2-sided tape in order to stay on. Just using the tape alone results in it falling off. I had a Skene on my last BMW. On my 991, I just don't run a front plate on either the Porsche or the Aston Martin I had before it. 5 years, no tickets yet. If I get one, its $ 90 in Virginia, no biggie. Just the cost of not running a front plate.

I will be getting that bracket with the drop mount and leaving it in my car for the first time I'm pulled over "sorry officer, the dealer didn't drill my bumper so I had to order this contraption, but I will get it on asap".

I use this method on my 991 Turbo S in IL:

Make a photo copy of the plate (90% size works for me). Either have the paper laminated, or cover it with tape. Tape the malleable copied plate to the car right in the center of the bumper. When it gets dirty or tattered, just repeat. Never needed anything more than a little bit of carwash soap to get any leftover stickiness off. It's worked for me for years. Never a ticket.
