Very cool pics! Please don't drive in the rain. I may want to buy your car someday.
Lol! I think I will probably be keeping it well past 100k
On a more serious note, I've never seen any problems with driving in the rain as long as you wash it shortly after. Now snow/salted roads... thats a different story. Luckily, we don't get either of those in Louisiana.

I am still a lurker here (non-owner), but there seems to be a general consensus about people not driving their Porsches in less than ideal weather. While I will not DD my future 991, I certainly will have a set of winter tires for enjoying the car year round. Maybe I am lucky driving an all aluminum car (have had 2 A8s most recently), but is rust really an issue these days? I don't see 10 year old 2005 Hyundais with rust, so therefore am I wrong to expect my $125k Porsche to survive without rust as well? I definitely get my car washed frequently in the winter here in NJ to get rid of salt and road grime (yes I think I just heard some hearts stop on this thread- I use a car wash because I live in a condo in a square mile city of 60,000 so there are no 3 bucket washes for me).
I am sure I will baby my future 991as much as I can (I plan on keeping it forever), but am I a negligent owner before even owning a 991?!
I don't drive my car in bad weather much because I don't want someone else losing control and running into me. Has nothing to do with the 991 not being able to handle it. Salt on icy roads is not an issue where I live. I know that many people drive their cars in very poor weather conditions.
