I don't know if it's like falling love with your baby - for the simple fact that it is your baby... but I was not crazy about guards red when I found the deal on mine. Now, it's my favorite color for a 991.

Here's a Lava Targa 4S, was a bit pale for me. I prefer more stronger orange.

That rear angle shot speaks volumes, you can see the deep orange and red colors in the dark shadows and the more salmon color in the sunlit area on the bumper.

True....that rear shot shows good color shades. Dealer bought it for a test drive. It's a Porsche Exclusive!

There's a number of Lava Orange 991's being used at Camp4 (Porsche winter driving camp) here in Canada. When they are done these cars will be divided amongst Canadian dealerships and not many of the dealerships want them. Its a very hard color to sell.

Either the buyer loves it or not. Its not like the normal hues where a person can be convinced to go into blk, silver, or white if push came to shove.

In person its Salmon colored.

Yes, I saw it in person the other day - a red (or burnt orange) under low lights and in normal daylight more of a salmon orange. After much consideration have gone for the pastell orange on the Targa 4s I've ordered
