Search isn't working right now so I'll throw this out. Can one easily determine how long a dealer used Porsche has been for sale? A new car in inventory? TIA!

Find a car you like, just call and ask the production date or if you are there in person, check on the build plate in the door jamb. You can also decode the VIN #
If your 10th VIN character is E, then it represents the Year - 2014
If your 12th VIN character is G, then it represents the Month - July
Month Codes:
A = JAN
B = FEB
C = MAR
D = APR
E = MAY
F = JUN
G = JUL
H = AUG
J = SEP
K = OCT
L = NOV
M = DEC
Year Codes:
A = 2010
B = 2011
C = 2012
D = 2013
E = 2014
F = 2015
G = 2016
H = 2017
J = 2018
K = 2019
P.S. The letters "I", "O" and "Q" are never used in a VIN.

In Texas, it is customary for a new car to have its state inspection done before it hits the lot so a quick glance at the windshield would tell you when the car arrived.
However we are now transitioning to a "one sticker" system where the inspection is now becoming a checklist for the glovebox so no longer obvious.
