Hi All.. regular reader, not much of a contributor I like it. Has a few of the 50th elements which differentiates it. So much for the Fuch wheel being only available on the 50th …..
They were always available on other models, including the Turbo / Turbo S. The wheels in the exact color configuration of the 50th have not been, however.

According to the presentation given by Porsche earlier today at RRV, the Fuchs wheels in question were only available from the factory on three builds:
1. 911 50th
2. GTC Club Coupe
3. Rennsport Reunion GTS
Car is sold out apparently (according to florian from exclusive). Congrats to the lucky 25 owners!
I was talking to my Porsche dealer (Tyson's Porsche, Vienna VA) this afternoon and mentioned this to him. He said an email came in from Porsche USA on it Friday, and that if any customers were wanting to order the car, the instructions are to take a deposit and submit them on Monday the 28th, and HQ would determine who would get the vehicles.
Well, this makes me really appreciate my "used" 997.2 aerokit GTS that I bought from local dealer as the original owner traded in because he never drove it enough. Bought in January 2015 with 8,500 miles on the meter. Price was a smoking deal compared to this "limited edition" model. However, all the best for those that climb into a GTS before there're all gone.
totally missed the Rennsport GTS the first day because I thought it was the TechArt 991 seen earlier , just moved to another location !
and like the latter ( twins separated at birth ) ...it looks a bit " ricey " as a daily driver when compared to the classy obviously custom PCA 60 Club Coupe and to the uninformed will look like its owner just applied some " racy " decals from those many EBay-type sellers and painted a set of those dealer-available wheels gloss black to a PTS-painted GTS
BTW, the most impressive car to me that I saw in the parking corral was a 991GT3 in a PTS dark metallic " cherry/ burgundy " ...it really stood out even next to the PTS signal green and riviera blue ones of the same model ...it would look similarly spectacular on a GT4 which also has a lot of black visual accents , but I suspect most of each are black, red, silver, yellow .
but if you wanted a GTS (and you live in N.A) its one of these or nothing since the GTS is out of production now.
I must have gotten extremely lucky, on Thursday I cold called a dealer to see if they had a GTS allocation, and on Saturday I negotiated a price on a GTS and my M5 trade in to my liking. My dealer emailed me yesterday to tell me Porsche was moving production up and needed my final specs because I was reaching V210 status, assuming that means no more changes. Today I signed off on the final docs and was told est delivery of 12/11. Reading all this makes me skeptical though and I'm now paranoid it will fall through. When do I know my GTS is locked in?
