Just bought a DJI Phantom 3 and decided to test out the new Point of Interest feature where the drone hovers around a designated interest point. Decided what point of interest would be better than a Porsche 991 911S? TWO of them!

Be sure to set the video quality to an HD resolution.

@leanofpeak - Drones have come a long way since they were introduced and the new Phantom 3 is simply amazing out of the box. Now is the time!

@96redLT4 / @gbree - lol. I didn't want to spend a lot of time browsing through the royalty-free music offerings so just grabbed like the 3rd one I previewed. lol.

@sracer - We happened to be parked right over existing donut marks but it wasn't us.

Did you guys happen to turn left off 92 onto Canada Rd Sat around noon? I was behind you in my 991 cab taking my daughter home - I believe...

 

Ah yes, that was us! I immediately noticed you made that turn onto Canada Rd from 92W as soon as we did. That was good timing on an unplanned 3-car drive down Canada Rd (for the relatively short distance before you made that turn). I was hoping you were headed on a nice Sunday afternoon drive up La Honda Rd to Hwy 1. We could have had three 991's in the video instead of just two.

@david - I believe drones are banned at race events. I am, however, looking forward to bringing it to my first Porsche group drive/get together

@Lex - I wouldn't be surprised if teletubbies used royalty-free music!

@997xpress - the model I bought now has tracking software ("follow-me" feature) in the latest firmware update... which makes the drone follow me automagically so having it follow a group of us along Canada Rd is doable!
