You've used me around your house, you find me in public restrooms while drying your hands, now I have been chosen to develop my top secret cyclone technology for the sacred Porsche Sport Exhaust.

The development team at Porsche has struggled to fully capture the beauty of the environmentally unfriendly naturally aspirated engine sound in a turbo.

This is where I come in. My creation hitting your showroom soon. Don't be tricked by these bad sounding videos. The new PSE will snap, crackle, pop just like those Rice Krispie treats.

My cyclone technology will make the NA PSE something you'll see in the Smithsonian one day.

We'll be riding with you guys under the rear bumper. Shhh..... We won't tell!

Dude, I thought you Porsche guys were like rich, smart, and stuff. Like what kinda dudes keep talking about each other's butts?? Like seriously? Is this what rich dudes talk about? Butts all day or what?

Man, please don't show me the money. Count me out and keep your hands off my butt!

Get a real car like a Ferrari! Those dudes talk about picking up chicks with their cars. All you guys are worried about are each other's butts.

And you GTS dudes are the worst. All you talk about is liking how nice the rear butt is on that wide body GTS.

What does GTS stand for?? Got To Squeeze?

Like those classic 911 hips and wide *** butt. I never hear any other car dudes referring to their cars butts. Now you got some dudes taking it a step further and sharing their butt hurting stories. I'm heading to the Vette forum. Now those dudes are my kinda guys.

What's with you dudes??

the bottom line is how it sounds from the driver's seat ...since it is the driver who is forking out the dough...not total strangers you pass and " impress " ( but in reality **** off ) on the street !

Humour mixed with venom….toxic but funny.

Anyway, trying to get back to an even keel…here is a review from someone at Auto Express who has actually heard it in person….not just a recording….so I until I hear in person myself, I will take these comments as read.

AutoExpress: "We went to the Hockenheim race track in Germany to get an in-depth look at the tech underneath the new car, as well as riding on board to see if turbocharging this Carrera S variant has lost some of the old car’s characteristic rasping exhaust note".

"We’re pleased to say it hasn’t. Using turbos to generate extra power can rob a car of an effervescent soundtrack, but Porsche has worked hard to keep the 911’s trademark sound. Sure, it’s lost a touch of that high rev zing from the old car, but breathing through a sports exhaust here, the bark from the engine inside and out is still intoxicating. And so is the speed!."

I've placed my order for a 991.2 C2S yesterday and purposely passed on the PSE because:
- I don't like the centered exhausts
- The "snap, crackle, pop" I'm hearing in the videos posted here sound overly engineered

I've optioned Sport Chrono and Rear Axle Steering a la carte instead of getting the Sport Package.

As Nancy Pelosi would say, I guess we are just going to have to wait and see/hear what is sounds like. If it does sound good, makes you wonder why Porsche hasn't made the 911 Turbo sound better. Maybe they think the Turbo buyers want a quieter car/engine.
