Non-Sport Chrono Launch Control Question

Non-Sport Chrono Launch Control Question
We all know that the Sport Chrono feature offers the Launch Control and activates it by stepping the brake and gas pedal simultaneously.
But what happens when you do the same to a 991 without this feature? I Know there will be no Launch Control activation happening but will the car still sprint and go just like how it does with the Launch Control?
Ive been itching to try it but im worried I might break something.

In a 991 PDK without SP-C the biggest difference is that there isn't any computer selecting the optimal engine RPM for acceleration (putting the pedal to the metal doesn't redline the engine in my experience) for you, and the upshifts may not be optimal either (better to put it in manual flippy-flappy mode I would guess and watch your tach....). Also, you are missing the DEMs which I can't tell you I know the difference in feeling personally but having read enough about them would guess there is a big difference in launching.
Can you do it? Sure. Just like you'd launch a Chevelle....

You can do a search on soft launch. In my base 911, without chrono, if you put your foot on the brake and stomp the gas it will hold/bounce the revs at around 4,500-5,000 revs until you release the brake. So the revs are not as high as the SC launch, but works nevertheless and hence the term soft launch.

Haha - yes. This is different though. The car senses what you are doing and appears to disconnect the clutch (so it's not pulling if that makes sense) and limit the revs to a certain point - until you take your foot off the brake which is when it hooks up and manages the launch with the traction control.
