Is there a specific date for us orders?

 

I would love to know as well. I am also waiting to place an order. I have asked a couple of dealers and they said they have not received any official notification. They also seem under instructions to not feed any speculation. Please PM me if you hear anything. Best regards.

 

Be patient guys. We're not talking GT3RS. They'll be no shortage of them. The car is being introduced this month at the Frankfurt auto show. Orders should start soon thereafter.

Honestly I don't see why people would be tripping over each to order this car sight and test unseen.

yes, looking at the Targa 4, but will want to test drive it first (both engine sizes) and spend a good couple of months pawing over the various options and looking for advice on the forum

 

You'll have to wait for the Targa. You won't see a Targa 991.2 for like 2yrs after the initial release most likely. Look at how the various models were released with the 991.1. First 991.1=2012.5 & Targa =2015. Will be a similar schedule.

So, I'd have to order a 991 - how long would the window be open to order a Targa 4 GTS - surely they wouldn't discontinue that model as little as 6 months after launch.

 

Order a current 991.1 Targa 4 GTS??? You better get on the phone with some dealers yesterday. I've heard the current GTS allocations are hard to come by. There should be some out there, but will take some calls. Start today.

The current 991.1 GTS orders will be wrapping up soon. Going, going, gone. Next one, the 991.2 should be with the turbo engine out in 2 years.

I'm not on the Porsche payroll, so my information only has a 98% accuracy rate.

You like a naturally aspirated engine? Get one ordered ASAP.

 

Your directionally correct. GTS allocations nearly spoken for. Need to move quickly. Next GTS likely not until end of 991.2 run and probably turbo.

 

I got my allocation a month ago for my C4 GTS. It took my SA a week of trying to get it.

I'm on it already! when'd your build/estimated delivery?

 

Build is early November, don't recall the date. But the delivery is December 2nd.

 

After a couple of hours ringing round this morning, I think I have an allocation lined up...

Incidently, I spoke to 2 people from Porsche this morning and they both think that the Carrera/S/4/4S/Targa etc. will be available immediately for the 991.2. Both told me "they are making them already and they are selling...".

The Targa GTS 991.2 is another matter, but we shall see...
