Need advice on couple of tweaks
Order for C2S Cab has been allocated for Sept build and I'm going to dealer to look over build one last time. I'm stuck on a couple of items that is love your input on. The car will be Carrara White with black leather interior on black painted Carrera S wheels. My questions:
1. White tail light vs traditional red?
2. Wheels in black satin or wheels in black (exclusive)? I have the latter right now.
3. Power folding mirrors or not?
Thanks for the advice in advance!

Congrats on the order. You should be guided by your own personal preference, but since you asked for opinions, here goes:
1) I think clear tails look nice on a white car.
2) I have the satin black Carrera S rims on my GTS and in my opinion they look fantastic. I was nervous until I saw them in person, because on the configurator they look so dull. That said, the glossy black rims are also very sweet, and have the polished silver lip, which I like as it breaks up the tire and the black rim. My advice is to see both of them in person.
3) The sport design mirrors look awesome, so strongly consider those. If you're getting the standard mirror and are only asking about the folding feature, then yes, get it. The folding mirrors are neat.

I too second black satin for the wheels. I think they look great.

My only input, which is useless input because it's all personal preference...but I think clear taillights on a Porsche look awful. They belong on a riced out Civic or an old Infinity G20, not a 911.
Oh and I have the folding mirrors on my Cayman S and not on my Carrera S. I'd get the folding mirrors unless your garage is massive. Very nice feature.

I like clear tails on white and silver cars.
I like the satin black wheels when they have the slim silver ring around the outside as I believe yours will.
I prefer the SportDesign mirrors, but if you stick with the regular ones, the folding function is nice to have.

Have to agree with Archimedes on the clear tail light issue. Lights are a safety device so the more visible they are, the better. Why companies like Mazda and Toyota chose to emulate the ricer look on their production cars is beyond me. They are much harder to see in daylight because of the size of the reflector...rant over

Clear tail lights on a white car make it look like an albino. Then you have the issue of the red reflectors on the rear bumper, which will stand out like two glaring beacons because there is nothing else that is red on the rear of the car.

Leave it be & drive the **** out of it. If you ever find yourself talking about too many miles on your car, punch yourself in the head then go drive as far as you can w/o getting fired from work. Collect as many rock chips as possible--they, like tattoos on a sailor, only evidence a life well lived.
