Jaws, check out some of the MB boards. I have been considering the new C450 AMG to replace my S4 winter driver and the boards tell about abundant and absurd quality issues in the new C. Amongst other things, there's a wind noise issue. I encountered it on a test drive of a C400. It's an obvious design flaw and would be a deal breaker for me. It's pretty extraordinary and although I've never owned a Merc, I never would have expected quality to be an issue. Fwiw, the new C had the lowest score possible in the latest JP Powers initial quality survey.

Thanks for the feedback.
I did hear that the new C is ripe with problems, plus the 1 year run on the 400 engine says something was amiss.
I appreciate all of the suggestions, I was only considering the 2 cars mentioned though.
Maybe I'll add the M4 or M3 to the list and forget the C63s.
There really isn't much out there that is daily driver fun and practical anymore. I hate Audis, BMWs that aren't M cars are watered down, MB is boring, Lexus is Lexus, etc...
I am just putting too much mileage on the GTS and want it to continue to feel special when driving it.
I think the Panamera is the best choice.

C63 owner here, with a daily commute of 15 miles each way. Great car, lots of power, but gets old pretty quickly due to 1) rough ride because of short wheelbase and tight tight suspension, 2) decreased traction on sport+ mode, and 3) very limited backseat space when front passengers are sitting comfortable.
Before settling on a 991 (due to desire for NA engine, and dream of always having wanted to have one), test drive E63 wagon (ordered one and cancelled), M5, M6 GT, Panamera, S7, Macan Turbo, and Range Sport. Personally I'd not go with C63 out of the above options, and would do S7 or Panamera. M5 is being redesigned soon, M6 is too heavy and bulky, and the Panamera was the best compromise out of all of them.
Good luck!

You need something totally different than the 911 but equally as awesome! Hand made, classic & relatively unchanged style like the 911, yet way different mission profile: the G550!!
