So over 75, which I believe is the correct threshold, the spoiler does not raise. Yes, sport mode is on. Thoughts? Is there a reset? I presume I accidentally have it set in some lock mode.

It should make no difference what mode it is set to. Does it go up manually with the console button?

Doesn't it go up at 79 mph...

Mine definitely does not deploy at 75mph but rather at 79~80 mph without fail.
Is your spoiler console button lit? If so, it shouldn't be if you want the spoiler to deploy and retract automatically.

Yes 79. Also the way I have my seat positioned I can't see it in the rearview. However, with the glass sunroof open the spoiler raises slightly higher and then it's clearly visible.

Spoiler button is not lit. And my mistake on the 75. That isn't the issue though, definitely cruise above 80 often

75 it is then. Not sure why I also thought 79. Regardless, if there is a fault you should get "spoiler loss reduce speed" warning message.

I find this amusing as there have been a WHOLE LOT of cars I've owned that have been well over a sustained 100 mph with no spoiler on the back and I have not died a fiery death.......yet.

No nannies needed in my cars - just sayin'.

How have you confirmed that the spoiler is not going up? You can't see if from the driver's seat.

That's great to know. I hate that wing. Looks terrible while up in my opinion.

Mine goes up at 80. I thought it should be 75, but mine wasn't coming up. So I tested it on a number of runs. It deploys at 80 on my car. 75 on my Cayman S.

was the engine located behind the rear axle on those other cars?

Let's see, there was a 1970 911E, a 1973 911T.....not sure where they put the engine on on those old ones.

Let's see...weren't those cars considered dangerous as the rear end would lose traction and slide out? maybe it could've been corrected with some downforce on the rear end?

"Porsche took a really bad design and perfected it", someone once said
btw love the long hoods.
