Default 991 7mt revision for non-gts

Anyone know if the 7 speed manual transmission will be revised for 2016 non-gts 991 cars? The reviews of 991 GTS I have seen all praise the 7 mt and some mention that its much better than earlier 991s.

you mean in addition to the "rumored" linkage revision for the 2015 GTS? - I seriously doubt it...

yes, and any other revision from the early 991 7mt.

I'm trying to decide between a 2013 991s mt and a newer model 991s or gts but getting varying info on the 7mt changes.

The few sales reps I asked say there have been no changes, while online reviewers, like Getawayer, say GTS mt is much better, but this may be due to the specific test car he drove. And some forum members mention the clutch travel is very long.

I've thoroughly checked this rumor out and there is no physical basis for it. All the relevant part numbers have never changed and there are no service bulletins to this effect.

After 7,000 miles my 2015 C2S 7MT shifts really nice, always has. I would not worry.
