Love driving my Porsche
#16
It's been 10 months since I received my special order 2015 Targa 4S PDK CS PDCC with Powerkit. I love driving it in summer heat and winter cold, in sunny or cloudy weather, on dry roads or on roads coated with ice or snow. I love driving it on the twisties, on Turnpikes, on narrow rural roads, and in town (first track use coming soon). I love it on long trips, short trips, trips in between. I will drive it to get to different cities, the beach or grocery store. I will take any possible excuse to get in it and drive.
Makes you want to take the long way to your destination every time.

The 911 is quite unique. No other car quite like it.

I can't wait to pick up my GTS. Only six weeks now, which is very exciting.
In the meantime, I've been driving the 993 to local concours events. It's a really involved and full sensory driving experience. I just finished the 100 mile drive to my brothers house in Carmel on a beautiful Bay Area summer Friday night. I've been in two cities this week, left on Monday and got back to SFO at 5. I was beat. But the 993 was all ready to go, as were my wife and dog (in the chase car). Long story short, the drive was fantastic. Almost no traffic at all and not too many incompetent drivers in the wrong lane going down highway 17 to Santa Cruz. Window down, sunroof open, stereo off.
After driving over 200k miles in various 911s that I've had the good fortune to own, it doesn't get old. The drive blissed me out and now I feel great!
I love my work, but this week was a bitch and my 911 just put everything right.
Never ceases to amaze me just how good these cars are. And it's been the case with each and every 911 I've owned.
I can't wait to see what it's like to live with my own 991.
Enjoy the drive!

Reuben, great video. You can compare tech and spec sheets, performance data, consider value, utility, etc., but in the end there are the intangibles, the history, the reputation, the appearance, personal preference (eg. my sports car will always have to have an openable top) and the way all the bits and pieces add together to create an experience that is more than just the some of the parts. In the end a car is "you" or it isn't.
