Default Seat ventilation issue?

I tried turning on seat ventilation in my GTS for the first time a few days ago. Not much air came out (but think I felt some), and I certainly didn't detect any difference between 3 bars and 1 bar. I read in the manual that this feature would not work if the battery is not strong enough. I guess that could be the issue as I have not driven the car much in the 3 months that I've had it. I'm wondering how strong/noticeable is the flow when all is working properly. Maybe mine is working fine, but I'm expecting too much. Are you guys getting much air? Is the difference between the 3 levels very obvious? Thanks.

It is probably working fine. It seems to have a low flow if you are snug all the way into the seat and back. So me as a not so svelte gentleman I fill out the seat rather well so it doesn't have much free surface that that air is being pulled directly across. If you arch your back a bit and pull away from the seatback you should then feel what you are probably expecting. It is really pulling air off of you. I find I don't notice how well its working or what its doing if I turn it on just after starting the car but on hot days like now in florida if I turn it on after driving around a bit you immediately feel what its doing. Which is a lot. After using this for a bit I'm don't think I could buy a 911 without it. This is the first car I have owned with it and in a hot climate it really makes a huge difference.

If ANY air comes out, take the car in for service!

Just kidding- the seat vent system works by drawing air in through the perforations (and out the bottom of the seat).

The cooler the air (as when the AC is on), the greater the effect on your body. It is designed to evaporate the air next to your body and subtly cool you that way.

Mine does the job very well- I start out with the fan turned all the way up and have to reduce the speed as the car cools down inside.

Clothing and fabric types play a key role too.

Mine feels like an ice cube dropped down my back within seconds of turning it on, especially on a hot day when you are already heated up. Very noticable, not so much if you have just pulled out of the garage and you and the car are cool. If you put a small piece of paper on the passenger seatback with the seat ventilation turned on it will hold it there.

As others have mentioned, it's more of a suction/vacuum than a blowing type cooling system. I have noticed if the AC is in and the inside air is cool and I turn it on, it's fairly noticeable...for me it is a little subtle...but noticeable. When the windows are open and ambient 80+ degree air is in the cabin, I can hardly feel it, if at all.
Also, I agree that pulling your back away from the seat a little when the cabin air is cool will let more air flow in and the system will become more noticeable.

Easiest test is to ask passenger to pull her skirt up to her head and start seat ventilation at 1 bar, slowly increasing to 3 bar level. If it's still not cold enough.....use your imagination

Thanks for all the feedback. It makes a lot more sense now that I know it's sucking vs. blowing air. (I was expecting to be blown. Lol) The A/C was not on when I had seat ventilation on, so the effect was really subtle. This car is too small to be a make-out car, but I'll work on the skirt thing anyway.

Crank up your AC and then go sit in your car naked and go for a drive that should tell you if it's working! Lol

Do it in an Elementary school parking lot during recess. Have a bag of lollipops in case you get hungry. Maybe call some kids over and offer them one as well.
