Default Possible to tell if a car has been tracked?

Any tell tale signs a car has been tracked a significant amount?

The tires could be an indicator - some extreme wear around the sidewall might indicate some high G's being reached.

Significant, meaning you wouldn't want to own a car after that level of track usage.

There is nothing wrong with tracking 911. They are designed for it and it's the only car I have ever owned where the manufacturer will fully honour the warranty with track use. Hell, they even put on track days for new owners.

Do of course look for over revs but otherwise worry more about it not being warmed up fully before even moderate use on the road. How do you pick that?

The beautiful thing about a Porsche is that it makes no difference if it has been tracked. It was built with that sort of use, or abuse if you will, in mind. I don't mean to say it is race car, but it could be with sufficient mods. The best track set-up would make for a lousy street car lthough What I worry about is that if most of their customers would shy away from a car that did some track days, Porsche might stop building cars that can do that kind of duty.
With PDK you can't even over rev on down shift. How do you damage a Porsche driving it in the only environment where you can safely learn what it is capable of?

8 inch or larger numbers on the hood and doors?

Most track cars are better maintained than daily drivers and garage queens.

In the US, there have been numerous instances of PCNA denying warranty coverage due to track use.

Rubber "marbles" in the wheel wells and the inside part of the wheels, and micro cracks on the rotors.

Then I don't know the meaning of the word.

But then again, English is my third language. Fourth, if you count profanity.

And a GT3 is designed to do what then? Bar humbug to them on that I say. Are they saying that a car destined for the U.S. is somehow not as good as one built for Australia? Strange argument!

Wear on the headliner, from the helmet.

Driver's seat looks pristine, because it's been sleeping in the garage/basement.

Remember, buy the seller, not just the car. Ask the seller 'has the car ever been tracked?".
