Default 2016 911 GTS

Hello,

Currently have 2016 GTS on order, should lock any day now.
Really torn with the ducktail and would love to hear what everyone has to say about that and my build in general.

Currently own a base 14 911C2 which i will replace with the GTS.

Any news about the 918/Macan steering wheel for 2016 build?

Thanks!

Nice build! I'm not a ducktail fan, prefer the unbroken slope profile. I'm also not a heel and toe guy so I'd add sport chrono to get the auto rev matching in sport+ mode. Nice to see a metallic black choice.

Enjoy the ride (and tolerate the wait!)

Oh - and if funds and time allow, and the deal can stay together - EU delivery!!!

With the duck tail you loose the GTS rear grill.

initially i was struggeling as well with the ducktail than at the end i decided against....i thing the rear of the gts is too sexy to include a spoiler....for instance, i love the GT3 much more without spoiler

Do you really need the 18ways seat? in my opinion a waste
Maybe you can consider to have leather in the middle consol (instead of carbon fiber) as well on the navi modul. I did it in my car and i can assure you, it looks GREAT !!! i will pick up my car today, pic follow if you like...

I'm a huge ducktail fan for coupes, so I'd do it.

Also, I think that the general consensus is that the Macan style steering wheel will come with the facelift in a few months.

Sport Chrono is standard on a GTS. Part of the power kit option. I am not a fan of the ducktail. I like the smooth lines of the coupe much better, and as others have said, you lose the GTS engine grill if you get the ducktail.

I'm personally not a big fan of the ducktail. I don't think it looks bad; I just think the back of the 911 is a classic shape that's perfect as is. I'd miss the black grill too.

I felt the same until I saw a white GTS with the ducktail. It actually looked great with the black accents on the car. I too love the sloping rear of the 911 but, I truly despise the auto wing that disturbs the lines of the car at highways speeds.

Mine is without it and also waiting. The classic look is really great. It is just a personal preference. E

Nice build. I personally wouldn't do the ducktail (and didn't on my Agate GTS which is currently sitting at the port in Emden waiting to be placed on a vessel), but totally a matter of personal preference, and I do think it looks nice on other people's cars. Have you considered the reversing camera? Might come in handy, as I see you're in NY. Also, the sport design mirrors look very sexy, so maybe consider those in lieu of the power folding ones.

you can always buy a ducktail and retrofit ... which is cheaper than going the other way and retrofitting the 'popup' tail...

Another vote against, especially on a GTS. I thought I liked it on the C2S and actually had it in my order, until I went and spent some time looking at it on some cars. Then I didn't like it. Just seems too big to me in person. In pictures I like it. Then I see it live and don't.

On a GTS I just don't think it fits or is necessary. The GTS body is perfect as is.

Thanks all, think I'm going to go without the ducktail.. Don't want to lose the black engine grill.

Anyone have pictures of electric side mirrors vs regular. Does it even show on a black car?
