Changes have been made to the US Public configurator. For example, several interior colors have been eliminated: blue, gray (except Agate Grey), and the two tone grays. Anybody else notice any changes?
This is the time of year when Porsche starts to update its options, so I'm sure that's what we're seeing. I bet we'll see changes start to trickle in over the next couple of weeks.
who wants dark blue or medium grey interiors in a sports car ...those are 80s sedan colors ...their current std beige with matching beige dash, steering wheel and carpets screams Grandpa's 1975 Olds Cutlass
hopefully, they will offer 1) black 2) darker grey 3) a richer Ferrari -like " tan " color and
4 ) red as their four base interior choices ....
but the reason they will just substitute different bland " luxury sedan " colors as base default is to keep fully intact the successful scheme of extracting $$$ for the racier colors referenced above in numbers 2-4 , unfortunately , imo
For those of you who ordered MY16 cars, were the interior colors of blue and grays (except Agate) not available? Or is this a very recent change?
Do you mean Yachting Blue? Yes I played around with that colour for my MY16 build but in the end went for GTS interior. Just looked, and that YB is still there (UK config).
Can confirm that the images in 2D mode are now much better and there are more of them.
We signed a sales contract and tendered a deposit on 6/12 for a '16 C2S Cab (Sapphire Blue). The sales mgr pumped our order into the Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System which kicked out a Vehicle Completion date of 7/31 and Expected Date Dealer Inventory of 9/11. We spec'd it with Leather Interior Black/ Platinum Grey. Now I see Porsche doesn't offer that option. I'll be pissed to the max if Porsche disallows my B/PG interior selection at this point. Haven't heard jack from the dealership about any option change or cancellation by Porsche. I just fired off an email to the dealership. I'll follow-up with a call tomorrow 3 minutes after they open.

Just received an email from my dealership's sales mgr confirming interior Learher B/PG is still a go on my build. He sent an additional page of the Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System "printout" (originated on 6/12) confirming the spec'd options and expected dates. We'll see.

You'll be ok. Porsche is unlike any other manufacturer in that they make running changes to their options all the time. They are not related to model year change over.

Thanks. I hope you're right. BTW, I bought it from the dealer right up the street from you...in Burlington.
