991
Hi All,
Getting ready to get a used 991 and have a few questions:
1. Does the passanger window go all the way up with one touch? (unlike 997)
2. When car is started is the start/stop on or default is off.
3. Would the park assist be a deal breaker if not on a car when looking at getting.
I've had a 997 for 9 years, so this car has features I'm not used to.
Thanks as always!

2) if you turn off, stays off on restarts, always off in Sport Plus
3) I hate the dimples with park assist, car is small, easy to park, even the cabriolet (cab has rear park assist as standard)

Lexvan answered the questions above.
My 2 cents, yes all open top cars (cab, targa) have audible rear park assist as standard. This is all you need if you're getting one of those. Car is small and easy to park.

This is my first car with park assist. Yes, it is easy to park BUT the park assist works INCREDIBLY well. My 997 didn't have it but I'm glad I got it on the 991. Not a deal breaker.

The reason I'm asking is I know I bumped front nose occasional on my 997 so thought the park assist on front would save that. It's hit and miss on builds if it has it. Looking for coupe. Seems I find the car but no park assist.

Having park assist was a deal breaker for me. I think the dimples kill the look of the rear end of this car.

Porsche drivers always need to park short.

Yes, I have my driving licence, but I cannot understand that hairy-chested statement... why deprive oneself of a nice extra help if it exists.
For many years, I have reversed quite fast into parking spaces, scaring bystanders, while I was simply looking in the shop windows, as i am sure most people do... but this makes it so much simpler.
Only reproach: the "red" zone starts too early, with several inches still to go.

Did not have it on my first Porsche and managed.
Have it on my second Porsche and love the feature. Probably not a deal breaker, but it does help - you don't have to get out of the car (or have the wife get out of the car) to check how close you are.

I don't know if it is only my car but the sensors do not detect a parking lot concrete bumper or a curb when you are pulling up to a sidewalk or something like that - I guess they are too low but the front of the car isn't always higher than the curb so you have to be careful even with the front sensors.

^^ Boy, mine sure do. Maybe because I have PASM Sport (car sits lower than PASM or no PASM), but that's a great benefit. Especially when your 991 is new and you're not at all sure how much longer that snoot is than your previous 911s.
Also, as a man who likes to tuck in as close to the curb on the end parking space as possible, I appreciate the side-corner warning as well. Although, as M. JeanLouis points out, it is a bit more cautious than me and leaves a little space on the table. You have to learn how far you can still go after it yells at you.
