fuel smell inside the cabin
I know this might seem like an esoteric point, but it seems like I can smell fuel from inside the cabin of 991 Cabriolet S (even when the top is up). It's not consistent but I'm just wondering if I am losing my sense of smell or whether there might be something wrong?

How many miles? First Porsche? Do you mean "top down"?
I ask because they do have an unique smell during the first several hundred miles and after a spirited run. Even more so when Porsche was still using Cosmoline coating.
Fuel smell not normal. Are you gasing up and getting on your shoes and bringing into the cabin?

Do you sense that it happens when braking harder than usual or accelerating?

Burning Brakes
Bottom line is that if you smell fuel in the cabin, especially in a cab with top "up" then you should get it checked immediately! A lot of us here on the board can provide opinion and insight about what you may or may not be smelling, but in the end if there is a fuel leak somewhere (likely just in front of the firewall where the tank is!) it can be very dangerous. Hopefully it is nothing -- but why risk it?
Good luck!

I had a gas smell just fixed in my 2013 C2S coupe. It was coming from the AC vent, and went away with AC on recycle. They changed a broken gasket connected to the fuel line that was in the AC air flow. The details are on the repair sheet that I don't have here if that would be helpful.
