Hey guys,

Picked up my '15 GTS over the weekend. Put 500 miles on the car so far and getting weird issue with the PCM. FWIW I checked previous threads on the issue and none have helped which is why I'm creating a new one.

Drove the car at around 2pm and PCM was fine. I was listening to music through my iPhone plugged into USB. Then I parked it, locked it, then went to drive around again a few hours later and PCM wasn't turning on and USB doesn't work anymore.

I unplugged both the PCM and Bose fuses but neither seemed to help anything. Seems like every 10 seconds the PCM makes a 'clicking' sound and all the PCM related lights shut off for a second then come back on, as if the unit is trying to restart but failing.

Has anyone experienced this before? Do you think it is software or hardware? I'm afraid to take it into the dealer because they'll probably undo the dash and remove/replace the PCM. In my past experience once dealers start undoing things and put the car back together, there will inevitably be rattles. I'm going to take it in tomorrow to see if the techs have any idea but I don't want to leave it with them. Someone on another thread said theirs magically worked after a while so I'm hoping that happens here. Anyways, thanks in advance for helping.

 

I would just try to take out the fuse first and see how it goes.

 

It's a brand spanking new car. Take it to the dealer and wait 1 hour till they reboot the system. Don't guess, that's what warranties are for.

 

PCM failed on my 991s after only a few months. Radio would stay on, but the screen was blank. Could touch the screen, channel would change, but still blank screen.

Dealer replaced entire PCM unit under warranty. Took a few weeks waiting for a new unit to arrive from Germany.

 

New PCM here also after about a year - a button stopped working!

 

Contact dealer. New software update in the last week

 

PCM needs replacement :/
