Is CPO worth it?

Is CPO worth it?
Looking at '13 Carrera s with ~20k miles; the warranty is good through May 2017. The dealership is not a Porsche dealership however, so no CPO. Is it worth holding out for a CPO?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you buy one used that has been previously CPO'd, it does pass along to the new owner.

I bought mine with only 7k miles on it and two years of warranty remaining - not from a Porsche dealer so no CPO. I would have preferred if it had been CPO but in this case it had all the options that I wanted, very low miles, two years left on the factory warranty, and priced right.
I declined getting an extended warranty. That is a risk, of course but with two years left on the factory warranty and a clean PPI, I was willing to risk it.
If you get one that is not CPO, make sure that the price is right - you should be getting it for slightly less cost than a CPO'd one.

When I picked up the 2013 C4S last year, being it was my 1st Porsche ever, CPO warranty just gave me that little extra confidence in driving the wheels off of it for the 1st 100K miles. Plus it didn't hurt that the dealer sold the car originally and just upgraded the previous owner to the new turbo model the same week.

I have basically heard this from many others also. There seems to be a lot of uncertainty surrounding CPO's and various track uses. When I finally do get a 991 S I certainly plan on autocross, DE's and track days. Saying that the value of a CPO for me is somewhat clouded....

Hummm if that was the case the dealer in Nashville would be voiding a bunch of warranties since they sponsor a track day once in a while for new owners.
Darn them I knew they were to nice.
