Would you swap your 991 for a GT4
Just curious to know if anyone played with the idea of swapping their 991 for a GT4 (assuming you could get an allocation)

I considered the GT4 before I bought my Cayman S, but it just didn't make sense to me at the time unless I was going to spend most of my time at the track. I can see the allure of the car for certain folks, but I'm not in the niche it speaks to.
Keep in mind a C2S is 4 seconds faster around the Ring than the GT4.

That said, when I initially drove the Cayman S and the Carrera S back to back, I preferred the Cayman and bought it first. I'm adding a Carrera S now, not replacing the Cayman. Personally I love the feel of the Cayman and love the tight cabin and the balance of the car. But the GT4 takes the car to a place I don't really want to go.

Thanks for sharing your opinions. I was just curious to see what the effect was on the 991 crowd now that Porsche upped the Cayman's hp.
I do think the GT4 is a tempting proposition especially with the MT, and I like to let my mind wonder a lot, but I would not swap my 991 for a GT4 either.
That wing is too big for a simple Monk as myself

Watched again today the Chris Harris review of the GT4 and if I was 10 years younger I would really consider it for the overall raw feel of the car. Right now I love my 4S too much and I don't have the time to be a track rat and really use the GT4 for what it was built for. But I bet it is a great car to drive so who knows.
