18 way is better at the shoulders, larger anyway.

I choose 14 way for a better match with the style of the 911-50 with inserts

14 way are not for XL boys, for sure.

Excuse me NoGaBiker, but I made the mistake of presuming Grunty has 14 way Sport Seats.
I'm from GA, too. Are you a member of Peachtree PCA?

Zero option seats are perfect. Only seats I would purchase would be 918's, if they were available.

Yes, I am. Just got my 10-year-sticker last year. Truth is, though, the only thing I ever do with the club anymore is go to the Stoney Point concours about every other year.

How about you?

Same. I love the "sport" seat option. I've driven the multi ways and I just love the basic sport seat.

Same here. I've had my 10 year for three years, but honestly do very little with the cub. An occasional rally or autocross and that's about it. I guess I should do more.
it's a great club.

Did you get 18 or 14 way seats on your newest addition?

Cheers.

Had 18 way seats in the 997, it was how the car was optioned on the lot; ordered 18-way for the 991 because we loved them so much in the 997. Drove 3400 km around Europe when we did the ED, not a sore back/thigh/shoulder in sight.

PS - the 18-way seats have the adjustable thigh and shoulder bolsters, the 14-way don't.

14s. I've had the "Sport Seats" on my previous two Porsches (old name for the ones with the pronounced shoulder wings) and never could come to terms with the shoulders. Always felt rolled forward. When I tried the 4s and the 18s in the 991 (both of which also have the good-looking shoulder wings) I felt the same way. 14s felt perfect to me.

I haven't sat in the other versions, but the 18 way seats in my 991 C2S fit me like a glove. (I am not a tall or large person, though.)

I'm not a big guy, either 5'11"-189 lbs, but I've just had a shoulder replacement and my doctor (also a Porsche guy) says I have big scapulae, thus causing the wrong combination of shoulder placement against the standard seat.
Sounds like the 18way Adaptives are comfortable for most.
