I don't care for the look of the tinted windows, but if I lived in South Florida or Texas and my car was out in the sun a lot, I might tint the windows to help with the solar heat load.

I like the looks of the windows tinted, plus this will help reduce the heat inside. Am looking at what % I can get away with in cali and not have the officers take to much notice.

Lots of comments indicate 50% or 35% ...gonna check out the difference at tint shop and probably go with the 35%. Here in So Cal, if you tint the front two windows at all, regardless how dark, they'll get you so might as well go dark.

Just never know here in Los Angeles...

Step out of your car and they tint almost immediately.
I don't wear glasses, so I won't debate your point. The tint I use blocks 90% of UV rays. Not sure where you get your info, but I suggest you do a little more research.

I think you are the one that needs to do the research. Your tint might block 90% of the 5% or so of UV that actually penetrates your glass. The point is, very few UV rays, especially UVB, make it though the laminated window glass.

Never been a fan of tinting, but if you live in Cali or Florida it kinda makes sense. To me very dark tint looks a bit ghetto.

No. It will look like a minivan compromise.

Don't be a *****. Read this thread again. Tint all 5 windows or don't bother.

Sorry - too many jellybeans...

I tint mine with 50%, more or less. The % depends on the interior color. It is good for heat rejections. But I only use ceramic type of tint not the metallic.

I'd like to get my windows tinted, however the thought of tint guys crawling all over my leather interior makes me cringe.
