CSK 911 C4S

I found one on the floor early on in my ownership and thought not to much about it since it was pre-owned I just thought it was something the PO dropped on the floor. Then yesterday while turning into a parking lot I felt something hit my leg and it was another clip. I'm thinking they are coming out from behind the steering wheel but can't be sure.

Has anyone seen these clips anywhere?

There's no part number or marking of any kind on them.








I have the sport steering wheels with pdk. Would love to see what's behind it. If anyone has any pictures of the back side of the steering wheel before installation that would be great if you could share a picture.

Those parts are the clips from either your left or right (or both) ventilation registers.
There are 4 clips per register.
Those clips are spot welded on.
Once the clips fall off, the registers need to be replaced.

I bet yours pull out very easily now.
If it feels loose, you can ask the dealer to replace it.

Both my registers were replaced under warranty, for this issue.
The left one lost 3 clips and the right side only 1 clip but it also lost the side retainer.

I had my appointment today and they have new vent assemblies being over nighted to be installed tomorrow.

I just picked up my new '15 and found one of those things on the floor also! Thanks for the heads up will mention to the dealer next time I'm in!

I heard rattling from the passenger side vent, wonder if that could be it.

Wow, those clips must break off during insertion of the vent.
I had hoped they were redesigned by now.
