If you're looking for a decently priced full harness booster seat with LATCH, the
Evenflo SecureKid DLX booster Evenflo SecureKid DLX booster
fits in a 991 really well.

How is base in narrow rear? Does it seem to fit flushly? How is legroom behind front passenger? Thanks for Intel!

My wife is 5'7" and legroom for both is fine.

Some fresh Intel... Came across these and took pics. Now my delivery date isn't until 12/11 so tough to try them but, from my test drives it sure seems like the back seats are so "bucketed" that the end up very deep an narrow. The base on the seat look like it'll sit deep into that narrow seat & attach with anchors.... Anyone using?

The maxicosi is awesome! It clicks right into the latch and the buckle is very easy to access (unlike the cosco, where you have to make this work a little.

The seats fits very nicely in the rear seat, as if it was made for the 991!

you will love the seat. So easy to take in and out. The way it attaches to the latch ankers makes it a snap (pun intended) to install. Actually they are so easy to install that I take the car seat out every weekend.

I can also confirm that the Maxi-Cosi fits well. I was happy enough with it that I bought one for my other car that didn't need to narrow bottom cushion.

My 27 month old is 26 pounds and my wife is not comfortable with the Maxi Cosi that was referenced above. The 991 is already smaller than our other cars and I need to find a forward facing seat that fit work for us.

I saw the Cosco Scenera NEXT is a replacement of the Cosco Scenera (from the OP first message). I am going to see how that compares and fits.

Any other suggestions, please let me know. Thank you.

Your wife is right. Generally need a harness if under 4 y.o., 40 inches, 40 pounds. Some manufacturers bend the rules w improved design... But 27 months old/26 pounds isn't lap belt ready yet. I'm not sure if we've seen a child seat (harness) homerun here yet. Some good ones for sure--but each w trade offs, the worse being no legroom for front passenger.

The DIONO Radian RXT worked great for us and it has a harness. But it is heavy. Once you have it in, you are good to go.

I thought someone might find this useful:

My kids are too big for these now but I thought someone on this thread might find them useful. I've got no connection with the seller; they just popped up in a Porsche search I was doing on Craigslist.

I bought Cosco 5 pt harness seats from Target for $40. They fit great but with straps and hooks for the LATCH hardware but they have the same 5 pt harness as all their other seats. And when it's lap and shoulder belt time, you just pull the straps out.

Someone always posts this question on various forums and then i always scroll hoping it yielded a response only to find the nth picture of the same 3 forward facing car seats. Even better when the above question is quoted, only to be met by "this is what works for my 5th grader!". And then you say, "great. i dont care. see original question" and they say "oh i dont think there is one that rear faces". THANKS BUD.

I think the only real hope is with the passenger seat all the way up. I saw a picture of it fitting in another forum. We just bought the Nuna Pipa but havent tried it out yet. Have also heard the Cybex Aton Q might fit.
