This is one of my favorite threads ever as it will help me convince my wife that a 911 is a family car and it saved me a lot of trial and error in getting a car seat for my lil guy who is an absolute water bug.

The problem is, if he had a choice he'd rather I install a wine barrel in the back so he could just slosh and splash around along the way.

Wow I saw your photos and had to do a double take to see if I had posted that ha. I have the exact same seats in the exact same position. They work great! I have a 7 year old and a 5 year old. They love them!

Can anyone recommend a good car seat protector? I use the Brica protector in my other cars but it won't fit in the 991. I need something minimal and narrow to fit the seat base.

I got the Prince LionHeart off of Amazon. Highly recommended by members. You'll need to cut it to fit the slender back seats. Scissors work fine.

Same. I flipped them over, drew a few lines with a felt pen and then cut with a utility knife. Keep in mind this makes them fit the *opposite* seat from where you drew the template.

Thanks for the recommendation. Happen to have a link? I can't seem to find them on.

The gray colored booster blends in very well with the black seats in my car. Sorry about the photo. It was the only one I could find on my phone. I can post a better photo of the seat if anyone is interested. The Olli used to be close to $90-100 but I just saw them on Amazon for $75. This is a very well built booster seat and is worth the money. I have 3 of them. I modified one for the 911. The mod is reversible should I need to put the arm rests back on.

I just did the same with Clek (perfect fit with the mod), but the booster itself seems too thick, raising my 4 yr old too high and her head sticks over the back rest. Going back to Maxicosi Rodifix until I find a better solution.

FWIW I've also been using the forward facing Porsche booster for my five year old and it's been very good. No fitment issue whatsoever (albeit it a pricey option).

Good thread. I want to add some details about rear facing seats. I tried many and found that they all require the front passenger seat to be moved all the way up and incline nearly straight. It becomes very uncomfortable and impractical to use even for a small person. I use nuna pipa and it fits, but the front seat is unusable. The cybex atom 2 is the smallest best fitting seat you can get, but the front seat will still be unusable. Since both seats make the front seat unusable, I prefer the nuna pipa over the cybex atom 2 because it is better build and snaps in/out easier.

The manual actually states that if you want to us a rear facing seat, it must go in the front passenger seat. The law in my state is that kids must be in the back seat rear facing up until age 1, but you can use the front seat if it's a pickup truck or sports car with no back seats and the airbag can be disabled. The problem with using the front seat is you need to install something to allow the seat to latch in using seatbelt. Not sure about other details. Since the 911 has rear seats and you can get a rear facing seat to fit back there (with some pain), the best solution is to do that and accept that the front passenger seat will be unusable. APA recommends kids be in rear facing position until 2 or till they outgrown manufacture requirements however the actual law requires until age 1 and most rear facing seats are outgrown at age 1 (certainly the nuna pipa and cybex atom 2 will be). The 911 manual also states to use front facing seats in the back at age 1.

The problem I have is that front facing seats are designed for 2+ year old. The maxi cost rodi fix is booster seat for 4-5+ year old. I need a front facing child seat with a harness that works for 1-4 years old and fits the 911 to allow the front seat be usable. I guess this category is called "convertible." Anyone have any ideas?
