Default 2012 911 carrera 4s decision buy?

Hi

I am new to the forum and thinking of purchasing a 2012 911 4s convertible from a dealer. Price is 70,000, wondering if this is a good deal? Any problems with this model? Maintenance?
Difference between a 911 and 997?

2012 is the last year for the 997 C4s. A great car, and maybe a collector someday. But it is very much different than a 991 (2013 and later) C4s! Too many changes to list except engine is pretty much same but 385 vs 400 HP. The biggest change is the wheel base was increased 100 mm (4"s). But the entire body and chassis is "upgraded". The PDK was also "updated", some like it, some don't (I do). I hope this helps. Others will chime in too. GL.

2012 was a switch-over year, so it would help if you clarified if the car was 997 or 991 (both were available), and then mileage, options etc so we can opine on the price. 70k in general sounds very good for a 2012 4s cab, but the mileage/options would help.

Probably a 997. The 991 cabriolet did not come out until the 2013 MY.

I own a 2012 4S cab. Metallic black with sand beige interior. It is a wonderful car. I bought it new. And yes they only come in a 997 style, the carrera 4 came out in 2013 in the 991 body style.

Mine has a PDK , I did buy it new. If you like it, grab it , you won't regret it , I believe it is one of the best models offered by porsche , even among the 991 class.

I have zero problems with it. ( I hope I didn't jinx myself)
