Picked up at last...GT Silver 911 Carrera 4 GTS
Well, it has been a long wait from when I first posted my build last October. And, another lesson in patience. Originally, my GTS was supposed to lock at the end of February with delivery slated for the end of April. For some reason or another, it ended up locking in November and arriving at the dealership at the end of January. While I was itching to share pics of it back then, I didn’t think there was anything too exciting about seeing the vehicle being stored on the dealer’s lot in the middle of winter for 6 weeks. So, for weeks on end, it was a weekly ritual of driving by the lot and admiring the 911, wondering what it would look like when the film was finally taken off. What would it look like when it was cleaned up? How would the cognac play off the GT silver?
This week was the week that I had set up for pickup. While my initial preference was to pick up the vehicle at the end of April and take it to the detailer, he was booked up for April and into May. In the end, that meant picking up the vehicle ahead of schedule. My SA took the vehicle to the person I have previously used to apply ClearPlex film to the windshield this past Wednesday. Sorry that I didn’t take any pics of that, but I will post some soon. My SA brought the vehicle back to the dealership for general cleanup and today I went in for a general delivery to see features on the vehicle.
The dealer has an enclosed carrier that they use to offer complimentary transport of vehicles. On Monday, it will be going to the detailer for a full detail, comprehensive Xpel film application (likely full wrap as it will be winter driven), and coating. I will post pics from the final detail once I have them available.
So, finally, glad to join the group as an official owner at last. Here are some pics of the vehicle after having sat out at the dealer’s lot for the better part of 6 weeks.

LOL...we do! From Alberta. I wish I could figure out how to post more pics...have some nice ones of it all cleaned up.
Thank you for the welcome. Itching to drive it, but have to wait for the film and seal, and to see if our city every decides to pick up the rocks/gravel they put down for winter driving.
STG991, really love your ride. I have HRE S101's on my R8, and love that wheel. And confirmed on the GTS 4. Going to run this one all year round.

Thanks!! Your's is mighty sweet too.
Waiting for a good rain here too to get the roads clean too!
Sent you a PM. Rennlist should make posting pics easier! Seems like a lot of members have problems with them. We need more pics from everyone.
