The Tesla is an amazing machine. Have spent quite a bit of time in he drivers seat. I own a Prius as well, because, I don't know. I have different kind of clients donors nice to own different hats.

The accelerator pedal takes some getting used to because of the tension/action required to keep the car in motion. You get used to it. Like others have said you don't feel the weight of the car unless you take a corner at a little speed. I'm talking about a city corner. The narrow tires just
fold. You could upgrade the wheels and tires to compensate but it hurts the efficiency. Those that live in a small town and have everything close by its ok. Believe it or not it's like a big cell phone. You don't always remember to charge it. My buddy gets serious range anxiety with his p85. I would too. Here's the thing. If Musk didn't receive government subsidies the car wouldn't be sold for $100k. It costs somewhere like $300 to build. Someone look it up.

Which is why they're not going to be delivering any cheap Teslas any time soon despite the pie-in-the-sky promises. Musk is basically a modern-day P.T. Barnum.

Isn't nice to know the U.S. Taxpayers are paying 200K for each of those cars on the road?

I'll remember that as I'm cutting my donation check next month on the 15th.

Sounds like Musk just learned to play the game. Something the rich have always done well.

Somebody probably piggybacked on it. It was one of those scams where they claim that your machine has been infected and demand that you call them and pay to have the problem repaired. They grab control of your computer so that you cannot navigate away, exit your browser, or access other software. Luckily I was able to solve the problem with a cold reboot.

Pretty far down my list of grievances, I don't know about yours.

I wouldn't mention it if it wasn't a source of irritation after reading the article.

Speaking of electric, I saw this in town last night. I have never seen one in the flesh before.

Electric is the future, no doubt. My next car will most likely be one. Porsches will find a way to make an "e911" amazing though, I have no doubt about it.

And I'll probably buy one of those too.

Grunty.

Yea. Fisker Karma. That co. is totally extinct. I still see one or two a month around. Can u imagine? Who do you get to work on it?
The head of engineering for Fisker went to go work for Saleen. He built a one off. Listen to the straight cut gears he put in it. That's the sound it makes 5 seconds into the vid.

Sounds like a huge RC ( remote control ) car. Boy, I'd get sick of that sound fast.
