new GTS intro
Reading the various threads and viewing all the 991 pictures on rennlist has become a (good) habit, so now it is time for my contribution!
Recently went from a C2S to a GTS, and here are some thoughts for those whom may be considering the same.
GTS - the wide body RWD is truly beautiful in its own right, adding the sport design front end, sport design mirrors, painted side skirts, satin black centerlock wheels and black exhaust tips really defines the model.
Aerokit Cup - the ducktail / fixed wing is very well suited to the GTS. The 2-bar black grille connecting the tail lights emphasizes the wide hips and matches well with the twin black exhaust tips on each side - the duck /wing accentuate this the black engine grille cover is eliminated.
GTS communications pkg. - a must have IMHO. Carbon trim plus rhodium GTS logo in the seats, and rhodium stitching + leather on the dash, doors and extending onto the rear seats is very sporty and upscale, far beyond the black standard interior on my C2S.
PASM sport - a purposeful and aggressive stance, love it.
GTS PSE - great exhaust note unique to the GTS or turn it off for quieter cruising and still have a unique exhaust sound.
7-speed manual - had PDK in the C2S, the manual is simply more involving and thus enjoyable to drive

Very similar to my build, color and aerobat. I choose a PDK (obviously) because I think it is really cool, and some different interior options, which I will eventually post. Enjoy. Did I say that I'm jealous?

Very nice, and congratulations. I have a white one myself. I agree 100% with your comments about the GTS Interior Communication package. I really didn't think I wanted alcantara interior until I saw the GTS Interior Package. Mine happens to be in Carmine Red, but agree that the package details are beautiful and yet sporty.

The side markers are clear LED's that were installed by the dealer at delivery.

Looks sweet indeed!
One question: did you replace the front side marker lights with the clear ones pictured? Or was your GTS delivered with them (clear). I ask because early deliveries I've seen have the amber side markers, but of late, most of the photos I've seen have the clear ones. My SoCal dealer says all of the deliveries they are taking have the amber markers (and they were amber when I ordered in early December), but now the Configurator shows clear markers.
My GTS just passed out of the Panama Canal this morning. The wait is almost over!
