Default OT: Carbon Fibre Aventador

Am on skiing holidays in Courchevel 1850 this week. On a walk thru the village yesterday, I came across this pair parked outside a 5 star hotel. On taking a closer look at the Aventador I noticed that it was 100% carbon. Every panel has been replaced with a carbon fibre version.

Also, note the badge in the photo, it is not a Lamborghini badge but a Mansory badge….the car is a MANSORY CARBONADO APERTOS with 1,250 hp. One of only 3 in the world. I cannot imagine how much it cost…..and I cannot imagine someone actually drove it to Courchevel.

Take a look at: http://www.mansory.com/carbonado-apertos

The FF next to it is a far more credible device to drive to the Alps IMO. And its from Belgium (my current country of residence) which is a 900+ kms drive from Courchevel. I bet the trip was fun.

I actually considered considered driving my 4S but took the Macan instead…dogs, skis, boots and a wife won't fit in the 4S unfortunately.

That was my first reaction but trust me this is not a carbon fibre wrap. I studied it very closely for quite a while before it dawned on me what it was. The detail is incredible. It's the genuine article. A Mansory Carbonado Apertos. It's basically a massively reworked Aventador. As I said, one of only 3 in the world. Totally Bonkers!

I was just kidding and pointing out that everybody in the world (you excepted) will think it's a 1700-dollar wrap.

All that to drive to the slopes? Also, their website is a showcase of bizarre grammar. I would assume that a carmaker that sells vehicles at that price point would hire a professional writer. Seems like a total douchemobile. Maybe I am just being grumpy because the commute sucks today.

I thought all Aventadors were made of carbon fiber.
