Default Extended warranty

Oolong T adding extended warranty and heard to use fidelity. There are more than one on the Internet but not sure which is the good one. I was quoted $9000 for my c4s and PTT. Both my14 and around 10,000 miles. Sounds high but plan to keep them a long time. Both are 7/70,000 with 250 deductible.

Sound ok or ? I also am not sure where else I can call. Just any dealer?

Thanks for the help.

WOW for 9K I'll be glad to write you a warranty.

To get one extended to around 100K should be around 3K.

For 9K I would invest it and then withdraw from the account as you need to repair your ride.

Then I bet you have 8K left when you hit 6 years/100K miles on the car.

This is for both cars so not quite as bad as it sounds.

That's not too bad of price for 2 cars. I was looking at warranty for my Bmw 7 series and it would've cost over $6k to extend another 3 years 100k miles.

You can buy the same fidelity warranty from multiple sources, not just a P dealer. Even a Mazda dealer will sell you one: it's the same warranty. Prices vary widely for exactly the same coverage. It's like buying a mattress. I got quoted 3600 for 5/50 for my '12 GTS.

Would it not be wiser to purchase the extended warranty close to the end of your Porsche warranty ? T

So 9K for 2 cars for 3 extra years and 20K more miles? it sounds way two expensive even if it did not have the deductible.

Has anybody had any good experiences with extended warranties? I know nothing specific about Fidelity, but I have heard horror stories about other companies where, when something happens it becomes, "Sorry that is not covered under the extended warranty, read the contract".

In Canada if you wait to buy the Porsche extended warranty more than 1 year from original delivery you have to pay for a full inspection at something in the $6-$700 range. Do it before the first anniversary and no inspection fee. The lost bank interest is negligible.

Fidelity warranty is owned and operated by JM Family Ent in Deerfield Bch Fl
who is the southeast Toyota distributor and also owns TLC warranty for Toyota's
only. they are not a fly-by-night company like many others out there, but like any
warranty company they will do whatever they can do get out of paying claims !

with any expensive claim they will definitely send an "inspector" to view the
damage and determine the cause of failure. these guys are paid a bonus for
the more claims they find a reason to deny.

best advice is to read the contract (before buying) and check the exact coverage
and exclusions. all repairs require pre-authorization or will be denied !

also check the BBB and online reviews !
