Looking for a windshield unit for my daily drivers that I can switch around.
Any comments on their windshield units?
Max2 or Redline?
They have a killer sale going on.
Escort Radar is offering 40% Off Sitewide including their Radar Detectors and Accessories with promo code CES15. Shipping is free for their detectors

The Max is a bit less range but has the GPS capability etc. I will run the Max in my Porsche since it's mostly city driving. IF I was going on a vacation and mostly on open roads it would be the Redline.

Don't think there's an issue!
There's a cool mount I saw in Amazon called the blend mount. Attaches to the mirror.

There are specs on there to see if it's compatible.

Thats exactly what I use. The blend mount. Here is a pic of it after I installed it in my GTR. When I did one in my Cayman S, I didnt like it obstructing the view so much. The windshield is short on that car. I will have to look at my car and decide a plan when its hear next week. But I am thinking I will do the blend mount or possibly the 8500 hard wire unit. If I could figure out how to run the wire from the front bumper and get it in the car. Not sure if I want to be getting that intense.

On my Cayman S I tapped off the fuse panel, ran the wire down the A pillar. On the GTR I tapped off of the powered mirror. I will have too look on my 911 when it shows up next week.
