Default Oil & Filter/ General Inspection service after 7 months?

I've had the car for 7 months and have put just over 2,000 miles on it. I got something in the mail from my local dealership that says they recommend the following scheduled service for my Porsche: "Oil & Filter and General Inspection.

Considering I bought the car new and I've only put 2,000 miles on it this strikes me as pretty soon. Does bringing it in now make sense?

Sure. If you believe in the early oil change, like many here. If not, throw it out.

I did my first change at 2k and now 28 k later it runs perfectly. Also my mechanic recommends good 93 octane fuel only. It seems to work.
