STG, your car looks gorgeous and glossy. i love it! i even like the smoked rears which i didn't think i would.

as far as the DIY approach goes, i would reiterate advice that was given to me and practice first on some leftover parts from an autobody shop. i like menzerna product but there are many many different brands and they each have their fanbases. as far as claying goes, i picked up the nanoskin autoscrub fine 6" pad and am going to try it out on a leftover truck panel. money loves it so thats a good sign.

Thanks! I actually bought the clear taillights, and had them sprayed with an automotive tinted clear coat. The body shop did like 5-7 coats on it. If you tint the clear too dark, you'll get a blotchy finish. This way you could control the darkness (by adding coats), and they turned out perfect with a uniform finish. They shine as bright as the red ones too.

Close to the dark clear. I had them custom powder coated. Did the aluminum billet center caps, air nozzles, and tail pipes too.
