I agree with RollingArt in that you would know if you are a yellow guy. If you were, you probably wouldn't need us to convince you.
Agreed, if you're not 100% on yellow don't go for it... not exactly the most subtle of colours so expect to get alot of stares/comments/police involvement.

Choose what makes you feel good and match your interior so you love it. The feeling of seeing your car you ordered is awesome. That first look is great.
rubbish ... I've had exactly 1 ticket since I bought my MB GT3 ... YMMV
If resale makes any bit of difference to you when the time comes I would keep the white, you will take a significant hit with the yellow!
Just as a counterpoint, the number of people that have approached me over the last few years to proactively ask if I am selling my Mexico Blue GT3 is truly surprising...
While the overall size of a potential market for an "unusual" color car may be smaller than that for a black/white/silver "boring" color, the market is a lot more motivated due to the (limited) availability of such cars ...
I would have made a premium on my car if I had accepted such an offer, compared to a similar car in a 'std' color.
My 2012 C2S in racing yellow... But I had a second car at the time for winter driving and also for places I didn't feel comfortable taking a bright yellow 911.
Then I realized I needed a 911 I could drive year round, got rid of the second car and bought a 2014 C4S in black. I love black but it is impossible to keep clean and I really miss that racing yellow
