Question ... I am a new owner to this used car.
When the tires are cold and I turn hard (pulling in / out of parking spaces); the wheels skip in a very uncomfortable way. Is there something wrong the the car / wheels .... or is this just something that I need to live with?

Yep. Summer tires in cold will do that. And lose traction see my post below

Very disconcerting. But very normal. Suspension geometry.

According to Porsche, weather conditions affect summer tyres & below 7°C the rubber compound hardens, causing a drop in performance and an increase in braking distance by up to 12% in a car fitted with ABS.

Last week in the upper 40's, I noticed my rears were losing more traction and the back end was sliding out a bit.
If you plan on driving in winter, you need snow tires.

I've had my car 2 months and only started noticing this recently, what I assume is the same sensation. It is cooler but certainly not cold- 70's/80's, and I notice the sound when I have the wheels turned all the way when I'm pulling into or out of a parking spot. I thought they were rubbing or hitting something. Glad to know it's 'normal'.
